Vendetta

No one needs to push Nikki Boyd to excel on the Tennessee Missing Persons Task Force. The case of her own missing sister, still unsolved after ten years, is the driving force in her work. When a Polaroid photo of a missing girl shows up at a crime scene, Nikki quickly recognizes similarities to the past. The closer she gets to the abductor, the more she feels this case has become personal, and she is not the hunter . . . but the hunted.

With this explosive first book in The Nikki Boyd Files, award-winning author Lisa Harris takes you on a fast-paced pursuit of justice that will have you holding your breath until the heart-stopping finish.

My thoughts: This one is hard to put down! Lisa Harris does a wonderful job of bringing to life her characters and the difficult situations they have been through that brought them to the current case that Nikki is working on, one that mirrors the disappearance of her sister from ten years previous. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series! (it was kind of cruel to include an excerpt of it at the end, since it leaves off with a cliff hanger!) This is the perfect book to curl up with on a chilly day, though beware, it will keep you up late to finish it.;)
I received this book from Revell in exchange for my honest review.

  1. Haven't read this one (skipped out on it due to time and an already leaning TBR), but it sounds really fun! I'll have to try and get to it this winter. :)

    1. If you get the chance (I know you usually have a massive TBR list;)), it is a good, fairly easy read. Unfortunately, she kind of sucks you in so you want to find out the rest of Nikki's story.;)
