Expectant Blessings

Written from a mother’s heart and born out of a mommy’s desire to connect with her unborn baby, these powerful prayers, devotions and original poems will touch the heart of both mother and baby alike

My thoughts: This was such a fun devotion for me to read, especially with expecting a little blessing of my own soon. I appreciated Susanna opening her heart to expecting mothers. I could relate to basically all of the thoughts she shared! The prayers for one's unborn baby, experiences with sharing your exciting news with loved ones, and dealing with all the emotions that come with pregnancy. It's such a special time, dreaming of the new little one.
This would make a fun baby shower gift!

The Amazing Make Ahead Baby Food Book

Perfect for busy parents, Dr. Lisa Barrangou’s innovative plan features instructions for preparing, freezing, and effortlessly combining puree “building blocks” into quick, tasty meals. With fun combinations like Peachy Strawberry Salad, Coconutty Mango Lassi, Plum-Gingered Brocco-Quinoa, and Purple Papaya Flax Yogurt, The Amazing Make-Ahead Baby Food Book will help your baby cultivate an adventurous palate while providing a rainbow of nutrients.

My thoughts: I love how simple this book makes preparing baby food! The recipes are a lot of fun, since they are colorful, easy to follow, and have great ingredients. With this cookbook, parents can easily maneuver making their own baby food for little tots. I like that it starts out with simple recipes for when a child first starts eating solid foods, then has recipes that are great finger foods for toddlers (and adults;)). This book shows how easy it is to make baby food, and to do it ahead to have on hand. If you are looking to make your own baby food, then this is a great book for you!

Baby Shower fun!

Over a week ago, my mom, sister, aunt, and friend threw a baby shower for A and me. I feel so spoiled by all the work they put into it!

It was a garden theme, which is kind of funny, since that was the theme for my 16th birthday party (eons ago, might I add. lol).

Kenna went to town with the cupcakes and cake pops.

I love how the cake pops looked like little flowers! The doughnut muffins were almost like dessert too!

My young cousin hand squeezed the lemon aid herself, then did up the adorable sign in the background.

This picture turned out a bit dark (I should of taken some pictures of my own! These are all ones that my aunt took before everyone dug in), but is shows the whole spread. The banner will go in A's nursery, over the front windows.:)
I felt quite spoiled by those who put on the party, and then everyone who attended!
