He and his friends, Hannah, Daniel and Jasmine, enlist the help of Detective Jeffries at the Jr. Detective’s Academy. Along the way, they develop the skills needed to investigate the mystery and the evidence of God’s existence. The cadets learn logical-thinking skills as they examine the contents of a mysterious box and the vast universe.

In God’s Crime Scene for Kids, real-life detective J. Warner Wallace shows kids ages 8 to 12 what skills are needed to solve Jason’s mystery, and at the same time looks at evidence in the universe that demonstrates God is the creator. Ultimately, kids will learn how to make their own case for God’s existence.

My thoughts: This is an excellent book to have middle school and young teenagers read! I love the format of the story, how it ties a modern mystery in with evidence of the universe pointing to the existence of God. I found the book engaging as it moved back and forth between the two. This series is an excellent one to hand to kids and have them learn to solve mysteries, whether large or small, on their own. Two thumbs up!

The Chase

Kyle and Kelsey Kupecky couldn't have dreamed a better love story for themselves had it been scripted by a bestselling novelist like Kelsey's mom, Karen Kingsbury. In fact, if you asked them, Kyle and Kelsey would name God as the author of their story. And they're glad they trusted him to write it for them.

And that inevitably leads to heartache, low self-esteem, and poor choices as girls give in to pressure from media and peers to look and act a certain way to attract guys.
Kyle and Kelsey want girls to know that it's never too late to trust God with their love lives, that wherever they are, there's always hope for the future. Through their own story and the stories of others who long for love, they show girls how to put God first, how to value and protect their purity, how to deal with loneliness and bullying, and how to see themselves as God does--a one-in-a-million girl who deserves no less than God's best.

My thoughts: This book is an excellent resource for young people who are dreaming of their happy ever after! I love how Kyle and Kelsey tell their own story and share about how pursuing after God lead them to find one another. The encouragement they share and insight on what quality guys are really looking for in a girl are spot on. This is a great book for young women to read, since it is encouraging. I highly recommend it!
