My thoughts: I loved this variety of stories for the upcoming holidays! I loved that the only theme they really followed was to be centered around Christmas and being good, clean reads. The first story starts off with a suspenseful twists, then there is a historical story with a dual time, a chance encounter, and finally an Anne of Green Gables style story. I can be more of a mood reader, so this is the perfect collection for me, since it touched on several of my favorite genres. This is a great collection of Christmas reads to pick up and enjoy this time of year! (though, I would also read them in the summer time, since I love Christmas in July!)

My thoughts: Kristen is at a cross roads in her life, with having graduated and trying to figure out where she wants to go from there. I love how doors open for her to find out some things about herself and discover where her talents lie. While the romance could have used a little bit more fleshing out, I appreciated the focus of her journey being Christ centered and even Josh's approach to their relationship. This is a delightful story! I look forward to reading more of the books in the series, since I love that they span so many different decades.

My thoughts: I've enjoyed this series and have been looking forward to seeing how Nicole and Charlie's story was going to work out, since it seemed like an impossible situation. After Charlie leaves to film a documentary instead of sticking around to say "I do", Nicole has thrown herself into work and moving on with her life. When a second engagement ends, Charlie takes that as God's answer to his prayers about getting back together with Nicole. I thought that the author did a good job of exploring some difficult themes, with a broken engagement, learning to work together, how to handle what you think is an answer to prayers (and how to not handle it!), and dealing with difficult choices. I appreciate the changes Charlie makes in the lives of others with his documentaries, though he doesn't always handle balancing it with relationships. This is a wonderful story about flawed characters who have a beautiful story. I highly recommend picking this book up after reading the first and second books in the series, since they do tie together.

My thoughts: I have enjoyed many of the previous Elite Guardian stories, so I was thrilled to read this one! I enjoyed getting to know Jules and Caleb, with their past coming up when the present brings them together again. I thought that the authors did a wonderful job of writing some twists into the mystery, which kept me on my toes! I thought that some of the different elements with the cyber crimes and other jobs was unique and interesting to explore. This is a great, cozy mystery to start as the days grow colder, since it is hard to put down!  I received this book from Just Read. This is my honest review.

My thoughts: When they save a young boy from nearly drowning, Richard and Annalisa are thrown together and team up to uncover the elements that don't add up. I loved the strong element of faith in this story! I also enjoyed getting to know the characters, as they tried to work through the mystery, as well as their different views on faith and God. I thought that the author did a great job with the pacing and suspense. I look forward to reading more of Linda K. Rodante's mysteries!

My thoughts: This is the first book I have read by D.M. Griffin, and it won't be the last! She did a wonderful job of weaving together Biblical history and fiction. I enjoyed learning more about the Herodian dynasty and the time period. 

I could relate a bit to Eve, with her idyllic childhood and resistance to change. She wasn't always a likeable character, when she finds out her father is upending her world with an arranged marriage and she sets out to sabotage it. I loved reading about her change of heart as she got to know her betrothed. 

This is a wonderful, well written story. I look forward to reading more books by D.M. Griffin!

My thoughts: I've really enjoyed this series and the variety of mysteries that have been a part of the journey. 70 North is a wonderful conclusion to the series, bringing in some of the characters from previous books and wrapping everything up as the story draws to a close. I recommend reading this series in order, since there is an ongoing mystery through them. 

I really enjoyed getting to know Tracie and Mac as they worked together to figure out what was going on with Mac being targeted by a murderer and then Tracie being accused of covering up a murder. There is a lot going on in this story, and I appreciated the fast pace of it! This is a wonderful series to pick up and enjoy.

My thoughts: I find it hard to summarize collections of stories like this. I loved the theme that draws these stories together, being that each of the main characters is going through a hard time during the holidays. Whether that is the loss of a loved one, opening your home/Bed and Breakfast to strangers stranded during a snow storm, searching for roots amidst disappointment, having your shop broken into, or loving on those around you. This is a wonderful collection of stories to read before the holiday season (though I can see picking it up any time of the year!). Some of the stories are tied to others written by the authors, but can be enjoyed on their own merit.

I enjoyed these three novellas! While I like stories that are longer, as a general rule, I thought that each of the authors did a fabulous job of keeping the suspense and energy going with these stories! I loved getting to know the characters and trying to figure out who is behind each of the mysteries. I liked how this book had a variety, from the sudden (and suspicious) death of a co-worker, to vandalism and secrets, to someone's unhealthy obsession. This is the perfect collection of mysteries to pick up and enjoy as the weather turns cold! I received a copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest review.
