You're Already Amazing

Her book, by the same title, started the ball rolling on daring women to seek after the woman that God has called them to be and pursue His purpose for their lives. In this interactive, engaging LifeGrowth study, Holley builds on her book and does a wonderful job of centering around 6 ideas:
Who God created Us to be
What's true no matter how we feel
Our amazing journey with Jesus
God's plan for our relationships
God's purpose for our lives
How we can thrive for a lifetime
This is an excellent study that I look forward to doing with a group soon! I love the quotes and thoughts in it, particularly "With Jesus, We're not only amazing. We're enough. We're beautiful. We're wanted. We're chosen. We're called. We've got what it takes.... not to survive but to change the world". Isn't that an awesome thought? I think that this is an excellent study to do on your own, with a friend, or in a group!

Intersection DVD

Follow the journey of five individuals as they tell authentic stories of circumstances that have forced them to examine how God might fit into their lives.

This five-week small group resource helps spark spiritual conversations. Starting spiritual conversations with those outside of the church is a worthy, yet often difficult and intimidating task. Intersect was designed to help overcome those barriers. It is an easy-to-use resource, perfect for sharing with co-workers, friends, neighbors, and family to enter into meaningful conversations.

Each film is accompanied by thought-provoking questions designed to encourage participants to examine the world in which they live and the life they are pursuing, always ending with a conversation on how Jesus intersects the current topic. Allow this powerful new film resource to engage those you are in relationship with and then propel them forward in their next step with Jesus.

My thoughts: This is a handy DVD for small study groups to use! I love that each video is fairly short (there are 5 in all) and have thought provoking questions. The subjects that are dealt with are trust, rest, control, expectations, and disappointments. While the DVD is kind of for the UK, it is also applicable in other countries, since the issues dealt in the videos are ones a lot of us can relate to. (I especially got a lot our of the one of the mother trying to balance working with life)
I think this DVD would make a wonderful addition to any church library or study group! It is laid out well to help get people talking.
