My thoughts: I haven't had the privilege of going through Randy Alcorn's full length devotional on Heaven, but I have enjoyed this beautiful coloring book that has devotions accompanying each color page. I feel like doing the devotional and then coloring gives the reader a chance to focus on the devotional's message. I love that each thought is started with a passage of scripture, about heaven, and then goes from there. This book gave me a lot to think about and some beautiful pages to color! If you are looking to add meditation on God's word in a new way, then I highly recommend this coloring book.

My thoughts: I have the first journal, Gratitude, and love it. So, I was thrilled to get a hold of this one as well! I think I may like it even more than the first one, since I love adult coloring books, but I like for them not to be too detailed. With this one, I feel like it is just the right balance of detail for me, while people who like more detail can have plenty to work with as well. The thoughts that accompany the coloring are lovely too: kind words, peace, making the most of life, and friendship, to name a few. All things that have been on my mind lately.;)
This journal is a great way to think on lovely things while working on lovely pictures!

My thoughts: These books are a wonderful new way to do personal devotions! I love that they give thoughts and scriptures for the reader to take off with. I usually just read my Bible, so this was a fun way to mix things up and look at things in a fresh perspective and get out of my comfort zone. I loved how April starts off with some basics on coloring and lettering, then lets the reader take off with doodles. I love the subjects as well-everything from speaking life to all things made new, prayer to hospitality. These books would make a wonderful gift! Check them out here

My thoughts: Part coloring book, part devotion, and a whole lot of fun, this book is an excellent resource for mothers! I loved the chance to stop and take time to read through the devotions. With a wide variety of topics, I found that most of them hit home. I needed this book, since I just had my second child this year and I am still learning to juggle everything that comes with a toddler and new baby.;) So, the reminder of taking care of myself as well as my family was timely.
I think that this book would make a wonderful shower present for a new mother!

My thoughts: I have two other coloring books from WaterBrook, a patriotic one and then another one that is similar to this one. I love the combination of scriptures and quotes, along with the gorgeous coloring pages! This one has some of my favorite quotes, such as this one by Helen Keller: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.". If you are a collector of coloring books or just a newbie wondering where to start, I would highly recommend this one to you! It is wonderful for all ages. (My daughter tries to steal it!;))

My thoughts: When I saw this book, a combination of an adult coloring book and a prayer and praise journal, I just had to jump at the chance to review it! I have enjoyed journaling since I was a teen, and I love coloring books (my husband teases me that I pull out my daughter's coloring books more for me than her.;) I suppose it is only fair that she wants me to share this one!), so this is the perfect combination for me! I love the coloring pages and how the journal side of things gets one to think about specific things you are grateful for. I love focusing on the question for the set of pages while I color! This book would make the perfect gift for Christmas!

My thoughts: With our Independence day just around the corner, this seemed like a fitting coloring book to review! I love the American theme of the pages, from the pictures to the fun quotes and writings on the pages! I like this book since the pages are all by different artists, so they are all unique and different styles. I also love that, while there is plenty to color on the pages, they aren't too repetitive in design like some can be. (I guess I get bored with those sorts of pages;))
This would make an excellent gift or would be fun to pull out and share at a family get together over this next weekend!

This is a perfect gift for the animal lover!

The Time Garden

My thoughts: I've been hearing a lot about asult coloring books, which intrigued me, since I loved coloring when I was a kid. Okay, I'll admit, I still like coloring with my daughter in her Curious George and Hello Kitty books.;) But, when the chance to review this whimsical coloring book, I just couldn't resist! The book is a story of a young girl who gets swept into a cuckoo clock style world when her father brings hime an antique clock. The pages are so much fun! I know I will enjoy using this book for some time to come.;)
