Rosalina is not quite sure what to think of their new babysitter, Aunt Ida Clare. Aunt Ida is quite the sight. Rosalina’s Daddy calls her flamboyant.
Aunt Ida Clare shares the purpose behind speaking life-giving words to an unsuspecting brother and sister.
She is positively the best thing to happen to these impressionable children.
My thoughts: My children and I have enjoyed this delightful picture book with an important message! When Aunt Ida Clare comes to babysit, she does an excellent job of teaching the children a lesson about words and how they impact us and others. I loved that she tells the children what their names mean, since I have enjoyed doing that with my children. I also like that this book introduces a lot of new words to my childrens vocabularies. With her handy salt shovel, she ties things back to Jesus and the words He would have us speak. This is a delightful, colorful storybook with an excellent message! We are enjoying it whole heartedly!
I received this book from the author. This is my honest review.
