What begins as a pleasant holiday with a new friend in Brighton quickly turns to devastation for Anabelle Milton when she receives the tragic news: her parents are dead. My thoughts: I liked that this story was unique. Anabelle is a typical young woman during the Regency era, trying to make a good match and appease her parents. When she finds out that both of her parents have passed away while she is visiting friends, it alters the course of her future. Now, thrown out of her comfort zone, she just might find out who she is and discover that true love and a good match can be found.
Anabelle is an unconventional character. I enjoyed that about her. This is a delightful Regency era story to pick up!
