Granted, it has been a while since I have read any of these titles, but I look forward to introducing them to my children! I wonder if they will hold the same magic now that I am an adult?;)
I'm not sure that I ever finished the 'Little House' books. But if I remember right, I did like what I read. And of course, we watched the show - it was a favorite TV show of ours growing up. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was one of the first series I read as a kid! I need to pull the first one out and start reading it aloud to my kids.;)
DeleteI watched a couple of episodes, but I was a book purist back then and didn't like that they veered from the original story.😆
Yes I loved Beezus and Romona!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite children's book was Molly the American Girl.
I guess that's where my love of history started.
Great list!

The American Girl books were wonderful too! I look forward to reading those with my daughter too.;) Molly was a favorite, though they were all interesting.
DeleteAww, these books look super cute!
ReplyDeleteYup I just checked. Beverly Cleary is still alive and 101!
ReplyDeleteThat's neat! I never thought to look if she was still alive.
DeleteOh, my first comment didn't publish I commented on how much I liked the Ramona books and wondered a loud if the author was still living.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize she would be over 100!
DeleteI haven't read any of these books but I have heard of a few of them :) When I was a kid I read mostly British childrens authors but I did read Judy Blume's Fudge series at school :)
ReplyDeleteLouise - Exploring by Starlight
What British children's books would you recommend?
DeleteOoh, I loved The Boxcar Children.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
They were such fun.:)
DeleteDang! The Witch of Blackbird pond (on the cover) looks like she's in a YA dating book! LOL. Oh those cover updates! Superb list!
ReplyDeleteYou're right! I think I prefer the older cover.;)
DeleteI've actually never read any of these on your list. However, I've always heard amazing things on the Little House books and Judy Blume's work. Aren't The Boxcar Children series still ongoing? I think there's over a hundred books in that series; can you believe it? Great list! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten Tuesday!
I didn't realize they are still going, but it does look like there is now 145 of them. I kind of wonder at a series that goes that long.;) I remember loving Nancy Drew when I was a kid, but they are a bit formulaic.;)
