My thoughts: I was a bit surprised that The story starts with the day of Jesus' trial, though it makes sense due to where Lucius is a Centurion.
I thought that this story was filled with rich historical details. I especially appreciate all the work the author did in researching the time to make it come alive. This is a informative fictional story set in the tumultuous time surrounding the crucifixion of Christ, as well as the years after.
