This week, one has to confess to the top ten authors who are best represented on our bookshelves. So, here goes.
1. Janette Oke
2. Robin Jones Gunn
3. Elizabeth Gaskell
4. Charles Dickens
5.Baroness Orczy
6. Jean Webster (comment if you know who this is, without having to look up the answer!)
7. Jane Austen
8. Tracy Higley
9. C. S. Lewis
10. Louisa May Alcott
That's a really diverse list! I've only read about half those authors. Interesting! Here is mine: Top Ten Tuesday at Long and Short Reviews
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking at.your list! I will have to look up some of the authors now.;) Especially some of the mystery authors!
DeleteThanks! Hope you enjoy them :-)
DeleteThey look like fun, so I am sure that I will!
DeleteI own a lot of CS Lewis too, which is awesome! I only put Narnia on my list, but then realise I actually own his sci-fi trilogy too. Oops. >-< I haven't read them though, but it's on my (endless) TBR. Here's my TTT!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! It was fun to see your Narnia collection.:)
DeleteHis sci-fi series is different. I like it, though.
"Confess" is the right word!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Ten Authors That Live Happily on My Shelves!
I enjoyed your list! I didn't recognize about half of the authors, so I will have to get busy reading!

ReplyDeleteYes, I know who Jean Webster is! =D But I had thought only Daddy-Long-Legs and Dear Enemy were still in print. Do you have vintage copies of her other books? I'm stuck reading the rest on Project Gutenberg.
I have a couple of her other books (thanks to library sales and antique stores), and then a lot of them on my kindle too.
DeleteSecond hand book stores are the reason I have so many Baroness Orczy too.:)
CS Lewis made my list as well! You have some really great authors that I have not seen listed on many other people's blogs. It's nice not to just read the same ten authors over and over again. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI agree! That is what makes these lists so much fun. I discovered quite a few new authors this round!
