Take ten: favorite "scary" stories

I had to put scary in parenthesis like that, since you all are going to laugh a bit at my version of scary stories, since I don't do the horror genre. So, without further adieu, here is my list.;) (as usual, if you are interested in learning more about the book, click the picture to go to the Amazon page. This post contains affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my bookish habit!)

1. The House on Foster Hill

The cover of this one just screams creepy, right? And it is. Two mysteries, both surrounding the same house. It's an incredible story!

2. The Reckoning of Gossamer Pond

Another suspenseful story that kept me on pins and needles! I can't wait for this author's next story to come out.

3. Thornewicke

Magic and mayhem, this one in delightful!

4. Gift Snatcher

All I have to say about this one is Jack the Ripper. That alone makes it scary (but in the best way possible!).

5. The Screwtape Letters

6. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

7. Vendetta

8. Stratagem

9. Vanishing Point

10. Darkwater Secrets

  1. 'Foster Hill' should have been on my spooky story list (independent of TTT) that I posted last week. It's definitely got those Gothic-esque vibes! :)

  2. Harry Potter does get a little scary. Especially that scene with the spiders in the second book. I hate spiders!
