Top ten books I've decided I am no longer interested in reading

1. When A Devil Drives

I enjoyed the Liberty Lane mysteries that I read, but I don't remember much about the series, so I don't know that I will be picking the rest of it up any time soon.

2. The Franchise Affair

I read Daughter of Time ages ago, and bought a few other Josephine Tey books to read. I just don't have enough time on my hands, so they may never be read.

3. Winds of Change series

I like Julie's writing, but if I fall behind on an author's books, I generally don't take the time to go back and read the ones I missed.

4. The Emperor's Conspiracy

This one looks gorgeous.

5. The Fairest Beauty

I've read a couple of the books in this series, but they haven't really grabbed my attention, despite being re-tellings of fairy tales, something I adore.

6. Revolutionary

I feel like I should go back and finish this series, since I read the first and second books.

7. The Selection

I think I read through the first and second, but was kind of mad at the whole situation when her friend falls in love with a guard.:P

8. The Sentinels of Andersonville

I love Tracy's books, but I have to be in the mood for them. So, I don't know that I will ever get back to this one.

9. Maggie Hope mysteries

I keep looking at these, but haven't invested in them, so I kind of doubt that I will.

10. The Loose Ends List

I don't know that I can handle this story.
Are there books on this list I should re-consider? What books are on your list?

  1. I've read SO many of Julie's books, but these days I don't tend to read her newer ones and there are even some older releases I never went back and read. Glad to know I'm not the only one that cannot get into Melanie's fairy tale books - they're so loved (which is awesome), I often feel like I'm the only reader who feels like they aren't her cup of tea. :D

    1. I need to read more of Julie's books, since she is a talented author. I just don't know how much time I have to read them all.;)
It is nice to know that there is someone else out there who isn't a fan of Melanie's fairy tales. They look lovely and just up my alley, so it's sad I can't get into them.

  2. I don't think you're missing much with The Selection series... I read three and got annoyed with it.

    1. Good to hear! They keep popping up in my book friend circle, which makes me tempted to read them. Glad to know I'm not missing much.;)

  3. I really enjoyed the first book in The Selection series, but I read 10% of the second one and felt my brain shutting down. I was planning on reading them eventually... Maybe I'll change my mind about that!

    1. The first book did start out strong! It was the second one that kind of killed it for me.

  4. I wanted to read the Selection because the covers are pretty, but everyone says that America is one of the most annoying main characters:)) So I`m not doing that.

    1. It seems to me that there is only so long you can drag out the love triangle when the romance is the main focus of the series....

  5. I've only read Mr. Churchill's Secretary from your list and I did enjoy it. That being said, I don't think I've read the next book in the series, which is now 6 or 7 books long. No reason, just too many other books. You might try that one.

    1. I may have to sometime! It's just hard to want to take on a series that is that long.;)

  6. I won't be any help deciding if you should read any of these as I haven't read them. If you do go back and read them, I hope you like them! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

    1. Thanks! I do hate to put books on a list like that, since there is a chance I would take the time to read them and actually enjoy them.

  7. I haven’t read any of these. But yes, I wanted to read the Selection series at some point. I am not sure though, when that time will come :P
